“Nature is filled with surprises: the sudden energy of a passing summer storm; mystical patches of mist in quiet valleys; the silver highlights of a backlit mountain stream; or the stark beauty of a bare tree contrasted against a winter sky. There’s majesty on the windswept rocky ocean shore; there’s wonder in the gloom of the deep forest; and there’s delight in the glowing canvas of all colors.”

My photography seeks to recognize these changes and rhythms and through my response and skill, capture all that nature and this world has to offer.

I’ve enjoyed over 30 years in commercial and fine art photography. As an award winning photo journalist, a highly acclaimed commercial photographer who won assignments worldwide, I’ve now returned to my first love, the creation of fine photographic art prints.

All my fine art black and white photography is created on film and by traditional printing materials and methods. The black and white prints are made by hand on silver gelatin fiber paper and toned to achieval permanence. There is no digital manipulation of these prints.

Now, I’ve entered into the new field of digital photography. All the same laws of composition, balance, design and viewpoint remain the same as my black and white photography utilizing film. Over the past three years, I’ve worked on creating a new digital portfolio with images in color, black and white, and infra red color.
